About the author

Athena Farrokhzad (born 1983) lives in Stockholm and is a poet, dramatist, literary critic, translator, and teacher at the Biskops Arnös Writers School. In 2013 she published the poetry collection White Blight, and 2016 marked the publication of her second book Trado, co-authored with Svetlana Cârstean.

Literature can be a powerful force for good. As a response to the climate crisis, the Gothenburg Book Fair has asked renowned authors from around the world to write protest signs that are available for anyone to use. So that you can tackle the greatest challenge of our time, with words from the greatest writers of our time.

All signs are free to download and use in protests. But please consider donating to our partner the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation. To learn more about the Gothenburg Book Fair and this year’s theme – the climate crisis – please visit our website bokmassan.se.
